The
preacher said, “til death do you part”
To
two young loves shining very bright
When
they said, “we will”
They
didn’t mean, we might!
Her
name was Dorinda meaning: God’s bountiful gift
His
name was Chris meaning: follower of Christ
When
they said, “we will”
They
didn’t mean, we might!
First
came Keisha meaning: Dear to the people
Loved
by all and so smart and bright
When
they said, “we will”
They
didn’t mean, we might!
Next
came Israel meaning: Contended with God
Not
afraid of anyone and ever ready for the fight
When
they said, “we will”
They
didn’t mean, we might!
The
next seven children were lost in the womb
The
sorrow it brought almost put out her light
When
they said, “we will”
They
didn’t mean, we might!
Many
hurts came to her from both family and friends
She
needed time away so she took a short flight
When
they said, “we will”
They
didn’t mean, we might!
Even
though separated the two loves still burned bright
In
time healing came as many wrongs were made right
When
they said, “we will”
They
didn’t mean, we might!
Their
vow was for better or worse and in sickness or health
And
the cancer came with such force and blight
When
they said, “we will”
They
didn’t mean, we might!
Though
she fought hard her health would not win
Without
much suffering to Christ she took her flight
When
they said, “we will”
They
didn’t mean, we might!
Many
were their heart aches, sufferings and trials
Yet
many were their victories and joys so bright
When
they said, “we will”
They
didn’t mean, we might!
For
those searching for what true love does mean
They
wish to leave you with just one insight
When
they said, “we will”
They
didn’t mean, we might!

_ _ _
Our
dear friend and sister in Christ has gone to be with her MASTER on high.
Her earthy body put to rest and buried near her home in Rockmart, Georgia
on December 23, 2006 after a wonderful funeral. The on-coming cars all stopped
for a moment to give tribute to our beloved departed as she was taken for her
last motor drive with police escort without stopping for one red light.
Our
paths first crossed over twenty years ago.
Farewell dear friend, sister, and our deepest sympathy to those left
behind that so miss their wife, mother, daughter, sister, relative and friend.

With
prayers,
