Aprons take the soiling and wear and protect the dress. Back in the early 50's
my grandmothers always had their gardening, kitchen, and cleaning aprons hanging
on the kitchen hook. Their church day apron hung on the bedroom hook. Some of the
designs have come from the 5O's.
